How much Voting Power (VP) do I have?

What Does Delegation Mean in The Sandbox DAO?

Delegation allows you to transfer your Voting Power to a community member who has volunteered to become a delegate.

What Happens to My Tokens When I Delegate?

Delegating your Voting Power does not affect the ownership of your SAND or LAND. You retain full control and ownership of your SAND and LAND and can continue to use them as you wish.

Who Can I Choose as My Delegate?

You can delegate to anyone you believe will actively participate in Sandbox DAO governance and represent your interests. The verified delegates have volunteered for this role. Review their profiles on the Delegation Page and activity before delegating your VP.

Is There Any Cost to Delegating?

Yes, delegating is an on-chain event and requires a small gas fee depending if you delegate on Mainnet or Polygon.

Is Delegating my Voting Power Compulsory?

No, it’s optional.

How Can I Change My Delegate?

You can change your delegate at any time by revisiting this page on Snapshot and selecting a new delegate, or by re-delegating the voting power back to yourself.

Can I Override My Delegate's Vote?

Yes, you can override your delegate's vote by voting directly on the SIP, through the Website or Snapshot with your own Voting Power. This action will override any previously delegated Voting Power.

Can I Delegate to More Than One Wallet?

No, currently, partial delegations are not supported. However, if you have Voting Power into multiple wallets, you can delegate to multiple delegates.

Why Am I Unable to Delegate?

Ensure that you hold 5 SAND or at least a LAND on the wallet connected and use the network where you hold your asset to pay the gas fee.

Do Delegates Receive Any Compensation?

No, delegates do not receive additional SAND, LAND or compensation for their role.
